Are you interested in taking a key role to continue scaling our commercial offerings with the rapid growth of 3Shape? We offer a unique opportunity in our Commercial Operations team to help drive projects in a fast-growing environment.

The position offers the opportunity to develop a project management toolbox and get experience with acting as a consultant on driving projects, where you will own smaller workstreams. Therefore, it is important that you have a commercial mindset whether it is preparing PowerPoint slides for status meetings or making ad hoc analyses. In return, you’ll be shown how to navigate in a truly innovative and global organization, have the possibility to influence the content of the internship program to the career path you want to follow.

About the position:

You will support both the Director of Commercial Operations and the Global VP of Sales with a vast variety of projects and tasks spanning across the commercial organization.

Examples of responsibilities you will meet as part of your internship:

  • Build – and continuously improve – material and tools for our DSO offering
    (eg. sales pitches, marketing material, ROI calculator)
    The dental space is evolving and new parties, e.g. private equity funds, are entering its space. An increasing amount of dental supply organisations (DSO) are emerging, rolling up more and more dental clinics. DSOs are a rapidly developing segment of the dental market and they can include a number of clinics from ten to a thousand. In some markets, they account for up to 30% of all clinics. The trend is global and it is important for 3Shape to win in this space.
  • Help improve internal processes to secure right knowledge sharing about 3Shape strategic accounts
    To secure the best possible customer experience for our strategic accounts it is key that we collaborate in the most efficient way across local and global functions. As part of the internship you will help design a process for how to ensure knowledge sharing across teams and departments.
  • Prepare analyses prior to important meetings

Top management often meets with key customers (eg. DSO management, resellers, PE funds). To be fully prepared for the meetings they need the right insights about customer strategy, structure, revenue, pain points etc. It can also be support for customer presentations etc. 

  • Support country managerswith ad hoc tasks

In Commercial Operations we are a partner to the countries of our global infrastructure, focusing on building commercial opportunities while empowering our people to solve commercial challenges. A task could be to provide the country managers with tools and material to support them in their sales effort.

  • Prepare management presentations

  • Working hours: Full time
  • Start date: August 1, 2019 (we are flexible towards your studies)
  • Internship length: 6 months
  • The remuneration follows the normal pay level for internships


  • The ideal candidate is on the last year of the bachelor’s degree or on the first year of the master’s degree within economics or similar (preferably, top 10% of its class)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • IT skills required; super user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Self-starter who is ambitious to deliver
  • Project management skills
