Business Development Specialist, Dental Service Organizations

Primary Responsibility:

This newly created position will provide project management and implementation support for 3Shape’s DSO market.  Specific focus areas are related to pilot program planning and implementation, pre-sales demonstrations, training planning, equipment procurement, and relationship management.  Alignment with local and global 3Shape stakeholders will be critical for success in this role.

Reports to:  Director, Business Development (with dotted line to Business Development Manager, DSO)

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead US initiatives for DSO program implementation and life-cycle management
    • Act as the primary contact for DSO organizations regardingDevelop plans and processes for large-scale customers that will enable successful evaluation for clinical usage and sales
      • 3Shape Hardware and Software resource requirements
      • Training needs
      •  Customer-specific IT/Networking environment
  • Lead implementation efforts
  • Provide DSO enablement support in order to close 3Shape sales opportunities in the DSO markets
  • Support 3Shape’s DSO market presence

Work Location/Hours:  This role is a remote position meaning the individual will be working from their home office.  The individual is expected to spend some time in the Warren, NJ office in order to meet with the Business Development team members and engage with other 3Shape colleagues.  There are times that the individual will be required to participate in certain evening reseller/partner sales events, trade shows, exhibits and conventions as well as customer or KOL meetings and events.

Travel:  This position requires up to 50% domestic and international travel, primarily to Denmark.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2+ years managing projects
  • Demonstration of strong organizational
  • Experience working in a team environment with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels in the organization. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Experience with a consultative, relationship-oriented organization

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA
  • Experience working with partners or resellers in the Dental Industry
  • Extensive experience in or with global organizations
