Business Development Director, China

The National Business Development position combines multiple functional attributes such as sales, business development, and marketing. The successful candidate will drive sales growth, develop account strategies, manage executive relationships, improve overall customer satisfaction at their assigned corporate accounts and increase sales of the overall client's portfolio within targeted strategic accounts.




  • Developmentand execution of the account strategy for China & strategic corporate accounts consistent with 3Shape's business strategy
  • Generate sales of enterprise existing and new products and solutions portfolio at their strategic corporate accounts
  • Maintain integrity to the regulatory and compliant business practice guidelines
  • Use a high level of financial and business acumen to assess and cultivate new business and leveraged business opportunities
  • Target top/middle of customer continuum and call on the "C' suite to build and maintain a relationship with the financially responsible party and key decisions-makers at the account
  • Provide leadership in the planning, designing, and implementing of strategic business objectives at strategic corporate accounts
  • Define vision, strategies and tactics required for profitable and sustained growth at strategic corporate accounts
  • Gain input and trend information from multiple customer groups through direct contact with such groups, organizations, and other field activities and events
  • Cultivate, promote, and maintain VIP relationships. Maintain a productive and beneficial relationship with influential executives (KOLs)
  • Provide competitive intelligence, input and trend information to management and marketing
  • Accountable for price and contract implementation
  • Provide product input and feedback to marketing on behalf of the account
  • Manage account planning across products/solutions and account administration
  • Lead annual strategic corporate account review
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with the account
  • Lead/conduct QBRs and Annual Contract Reviews with clients
  • Maintain key relationships with internal client departments (i.e., Sales, Contracts, Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support)



  • Master's degree or MBA
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, managing National or Regional Accounts, preferably within a global organization
  • Previous Regional Sales management experience a plus
  • Experience with medical device industry or BTB is considered a plus
  • Analytical mind and possess strong stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English written and orally, as this is our company language
