HR Manager APAC

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager who can develop the HR function in our organization in APAC. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to join a rapidly expanding company with Danish headquarters and presence in more than 20 locations globally.

This position will be located in Shanghai, China, where we currently count more than 30 employees. We are rapidly growing our business in the whole APAC area and the person we are looking for will be the first point of contact regarding HR matters for the whole region.

The Human Resources Manager will provide comprehensive HR management service to the local organizations. You will collaborate with and advise a number of heads of department and line managers to manage the full range of HR matters. You will report directly to the Global Human Resources Manager located in Denmark and be part of the Global Human Resources organization.

You will add value to the organization by understanding its ambitions, goals, and challenges and by applying professional HR experience and services to solve issues and continuously improve the company.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective talent acquisition and onboarding for employees in China and APAC
  • Provide stakeholder management and professional hands-on HR support to the APAC organizations
  • Contribute to the development of HR objectives in close collaboration with local stakeholders and the Global HR department
  • Support development and retention of employees in the APAC organizations
  • Develop and grow the HR team when needed
  • Collect and report on HR data for headquarters
  • General maintenance of all corporate administration responsibilities

Your profile:

  • Relevant higher education
  • Sound generalist HR experience, ideally with international exposure
  • Confidence to navigate across all levels of the business
  • Ability to lead HR projects and implement new initiatives aligned with your stakeholders
  • Good mix of analytical skills and hands on approach
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising effectively and dealing with new situations and any problems as they arise
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relation builder
  • Integrity, empathy, discretion, and diplomacy
  • Knowledge of Chinese employment law. Knowledge of employment law for other countries in APAC will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English.
